The Pakistan WAPDA Foundation (PWF) invites applications for the position of Director General (Housing) / Project Director WAPDA Housing Scheme on contract basis. The foundation seeks an individual with dynamic personality having ability and capacity to launch Housing Scheme for WAPDA Employees. Candidates must have B.Sc Civil Engineering or Higher Qualification from HEC recognized university. Maximum age is 62 years. Required experience includes 20 years total experience with 5 years specifically in Civil Construction/Housing in Government, Semi Government, Armed Forces, DHA and similar Housing Society. Specific experience required includes planning and development of housing projects, procurement of land and hiring of consultants, overseeing project schedules including sequence of all construction activities pertinently related to welfare, contract performance for bid, budget, forecast and land acquisition, and prudent decision making. The appointment will be on contract basis initially for one year, extendable subject to satisfactory performance up to maximum 3 years or up to age of 65 years whichever is earlier. Salary will be lumpsum negotiable based on experience alongwith perquisites as per PWF policy. Position is on Open Merit quota. General requirements include awareness about PPRA Rules, result oriented approach, highly organized and motivated, excellent analytical, writing, communication, technical and interpersonal skills, and relevant experience in consideration of job requirement. The Director General will be responsible for evolving strategies and plans for proper development of Housing Society, exercising administrative and financial powers as Project Director for implementing Board decisions, overseeing routine quality audit to ensure work progresses as per specifications and initiating corrective action, developing all policies and procedures specially related to Joint Venture of housing projects, achieving objectives set by Board of Directors of PWF, and any other task assigned by Board regarding Housing Society.
