Punjab Veterinary Internship Program 2025 Full Details

punjab veterinary internship program 2025 details

In August 2025, the Punjab government under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz launched the province’s first veterinary internship program to train and deploy young professionals in the livestock sector. This Rs.600 million initiative provides practical training for about 1,000 fresh veterinary and para-veterinary graduates.

The scheme is managed by the Livestock & Dairy Development Department under the CM Internship Programme. Participants gain field experience while improving animal healthcare services across Punjab.

Interns receive a paid monthly stipend:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) graduates: Rs.60,000
  • Para-veterinary diploma holders (Livestock Assistant Diploma, 2 years): Rs.40,000

The program aims to strengthen Punjab’s livestock and dairy industries while offering young graduates hands-on experience.
